La Grande Youth Basketball

The La Grande AAU Youth Basketball program is an organization that was built by dedicated volunteers for our area’s youth.

The La Grande AAU Youth Basketball program was established in 1990 with the vision of helping our young athletes, along with our coaches hone in on their skills on and off the basketball court. We envisioned a program with increasing numbers of AAU players and teams at every grade level, more structured and organized participation, to help create a successful La Grande Basketball Program.

The La Grande AAU Youth Basketball program encourages our coaches to take time during practice and games to discuss the importance of important individual qualities. These include positive attitudes, personal commitment, teamwork, determination, respect, honesty, academics, citizenship and of course, the fundamentals of basketball and athleticism.
